OUR HISTORY
The Northstar Rottweiler Club (NRC) began in 1986 with a shared vision—to preserve the integrity of the Rottweiler while creating a welcoming community for owners, breeders, exhibitors, and enthusiasts throughout Minnesota.
What started as a small group of dedicated members has grown into one of Minnesota's most active AKC-licensed Rottweiler clubs. Through specialty shows, obedience and rally trials, carting, herding, agility, educational programs, and community outreach, our members continue to celebrate the versatility and working heritage of the Rottweiler.
More than three decades later, our mission remains the same: to encourage responsible ownership, promote health and temperament, and provide opportunities for people to learn, compete, and build lifelong friendships through their shared passion for the breed.

The Northstar Rottweiler Club is committed to preserving the Rottweiler through education, ethical breeding practices, responsible ownership, and participation in AKC events.
We believe that every owner has a role in protecting the future of the breed by promoting sound temperament, health testing, working ability, and good sportsmanship. Whether you're new to the breed or have been involved for decades, our club provides opportunities to learn, participate, and connect with others who share your passion.
